  • For May graduates and those walking in May Commencement, Wednesday, March 20 is the deadline to apply for graduation via myUK. August graduates who are not participating in May Commencement have until July 1 to apply.  Click here for more information. 
  • Students are invited to nominate an excellent college advisor for the University's Ken Freedman Outstanding Advisor award. Nominations are due Friday, March 29. Visit this webpage for more information.
  • The last day to withdraw from a Spring 2019 course is Friday, March 29.  Before making changes, students should consult their academic advisor and know a "W" will appear on their transcript. 


  • The college scholarship for current students is due on April 1. For more information, click here
  • The UK Academic Excellence Scholarship Program is open to all full-time undergraduate students with a minimum 3.5 GPA.  Awards are up to $1,500. For more information, click here

Jobs and Internships

  • Students seeking on-campus summer or fall jobs are invited to attend the Campus Rec and Wellness Job Fairs from 4:00 to 9:00 p.m. on Tuesday, March 19 and Wednesday, March 20. They'll be in two locations: the Johnson Center and the Student Center Staircase.

Event Promotion 

  • UK SAB is hosting Archery Tag on Friday, March 22 from 6:00 to 9:00 p.m. in the Seaton Center. Archery Tag is a mix between laser tag and dodgeball with foam-tipped arrows. Free food is included.  For more information, click here
  • Lexington residents are encouraged to explore the city's tree through the "Go See Trees" program. The spring challenge will be held from March 16 to April 30 with a prize drawing valued at $250.  For more information, click here

Course Promotion

  • ENT 110: Insect Biology is offered this fall, and the class meets from 9:30 to 10:45 on Tuesdays and Thursdays in Erikson Hall. ENT 110 fulfills the core requirement for natural sciences and there is no textbook. The class covers a wide range of topics including insect identification, insect pests, beneficial insects, pests of concern to Kentucky, diseases transmitted by insects, their importance as pollinators, and more.
