Advising Appointment by Major

    Instructions are specific to Summer and Fall 2013 advising.  College of Agriculture advising will be March 4-April 5, 2013.

     

    If your advisor does not have any advising appointments available through myUK please contact him or her directly by phone or email. For additional assistance, please contact your Advising Resource Center.

  • Agricultural Biotechnology: Make an appointment through myUK. Students who have not been assigned an advisor should contact Dr. Sharyn Perry at sperr2@uky.edu or 859-218-0732 or Mrs. Esther Fleming at efleming@uky.edu or 859-257-1134.
  • Agricultural Economics: Make an appointment through myUK. If you are not sure who your advisor is, please contact Janene Toelle at 859-257-7264 or janene.toelle@uky.edu. Advisees of Dr. Wuyang Hu please contact him directly via email. Dr. Maynard will be sending an email to his advisees with instructions about making an advising appointment.  If you do not receive the email, please contact him at lmaynard@uky.edu.
  • Agricultural Education: Students will be notified of about advising procedures by Dr. Vincent.
  • Animal Sciences: Make an appointment through myUK.  Ms. Ann Leed is the Academic Coordinator for Animal Sciences and will be advising Animal Sciences students.  Her email is ann.leed@uky.edu and she is in 905 Garrigus Bldg. Her phone number is 859-257-2465. If your advisor doesn't utilize the myUK schedule please contact him/her directly.
  • Community & Leadership Development: Make an appointment through myUK. Dr. Garkovich's advisees should contact her directly at lgarkov@uky.edu or 859-257-7581. Dr. Ricketts' advisees should contact her directly at k.ricketts@uky.edu or 859.257.3767.
  • Dietetics (HES): Students will schedule an appointment through myUK. Watch for an email via your departmental listserv for additional information.
  • Entomology: Contact your advisor by e-mail or phone to make an appointment.
  • Equine Science & Management: Make an appointment online through myUK.
  • Family Sciences (HES): Schedule an appointment online through myUK. Dr. Smith's advisees should sign up for an appointment outside her office. 
  • Family & Consumer Science Education (HES): Dr. Haleman will be sending an email to her advisees with information about scheduling an appointment. 
  • Food Science: Please email Dr. Clair Hicks at clhicks@uky.edu to schedule an appointment.
  • Forestry: Make an appointment through myUK. Dr. Dave Wagner's advisees should email him at dwagner@uky.edu or call him at 859-257-3773.  If you do not see your advisor listed on-line, please stop by 108 T.P. Cooper Bldg. to make an appointment.
  • Horticulture, Plant & Soil Science: Make an appointment through myUK. If your advisor is not online, please contact him/her individually.  Dr. Dave Williams' advisees should email him at dwilliam@uky.edu to schedule an appointment.
  • Hospitality Management & Tourism (HES): Make an appointment through myUK .
  • Human Nutrition (HES): Students will schedule an appointment myUK. Watch for an email via your departmental listserv for additional information.
  • Landscape Architecture: Make an appointment with your studio instructor through myUK.  Freshmen, transfer students, and students who have not been assigned an advisor should contact Karen Goodlet at kgoodlet@uky.edu or 859-257-7295 to schedule an appointment. 
  • Merchandising, Apparel & Textiles (HES): Make an appointment through myUK. If you are unable to schedule an appointment online, please go by your advisor's office or check with Linda Marshall in 318 Erikson Hall to make an appointment.
  • Natural Resources & Enviromental Science: Make an appointment through myUK. If you have not been assigned an advisor, please make an appointment with Dr. Chris Matocha.
  • Pre-Vet: Pre-Vet Group Advising will be Monday, March 18th 5:00-6:00 p.m. in A7 Ag. Science North Bldg. or Tuesday, March 19th from 5:00-6:00 p.m. in N10 Ag. Science North Bldg. If you are unable to attend a Pre-Vet Advising meeting, please schedule an individual appointment with Dr. Dwyer through myUK.  Please contact Dr. Roberta Dwyer at rmdwyer@uky.edu for additional information.
  • Sustainable Agriculture: Schedule an appointment through myUK.
  • Undeclared (AG): Agriculture majors should make an appointment through myUK with Susan Skees or Jamie Dunn.
  • Undeclared (HES): School of Human Environmental Sciences majors should make an appointment through myUK with Louise Gladstone or Pam McFarland.
